Rosy Dee is a graphic designer and author from London.
She self-published her debut novel entitled I Love You, Lola Bloom in October 2020. The book is a lesbian romance story inspired by Rosy’s meeting of one of her favorite lesfic authors. Rosy was given the opportunity to design the author’s final two book covers, and the experience ultimately wrote itself into a thrilling fictional tale.
After being diagnosed with anxiety and OCD in 2017, writing and creating projects for the Queer Community has become an important coping mechanism for Rosy in dealing with her mental health struggles.
Her passion for writing began in 2016 during a much needed break from life after having suffered with her mental health for some time. Upon picking up a lesbian fiction novel – not having realized how big the lesfic market was at the time – she’d become absorbed with the book in a way she never had before, because the book involved people like her: queer women.
Needless to say, it was a game changer. Rosy realized her calling, as she too had a story she was desperate to tell. She began writing as soon as she returned home from holiday.
Additionally, Rosy put her graphic design skills to work and published another project in late 2020: a queer activity book for womxn loving womxn. This book was inspired by her appreciation of all womxn, especially womxn who love other womxn. It was created from a need for something that wasn’t already out there, a whole book dedicated to her favorite queer shows, movies, and womxn in general.
As mentioned above, she has also designed book covers for other authors (example below), and does freelance designing in her spare time.
AND, we must mention that Rosy is responsible for designing the A.T. Nelson logo. Thank you Rosy!
Rosy is currently working on her sophomore novel, in which she tells the story that originally ignited her passion for writing. She hopes to deliver the story to the public within the next year or two.
